Nxai Pan National Park lies in northeastern Botswana and forms part of the larger Makgadikgadi ecosystem. The park is characterized by expansive salt pans, grasslands, and clusters of acacia trees, which attract a variety of wildlife during the rainy season, including zebra, springbok, and wildebeest. Predators such as lions and cheetahs follow the migrations, and birdlife flourishes during the season. The famous Baines Baobabs, a group of ancient baobab trees, are a key attraction. The park is also ideal for stargazing due to its clear skies and lack of light pollution.
